Ad Hoc enters design history thanks to Signalling Compasso D´Oro ADI - XXI Edition
It´s Ciussai; heating body designed by Giorgio Di Tullio and Stefano Ragaini and produced by Ad Hoc, leading mark of Gruppo Ragaini, the happy protagonist of this signalling, aimed goal by designers and companies throughout the world.
In about 8 thousands projects presented to the international jury, operating exclusively on the base of the pre-selection made by the permanent observatory of Italian Design ADI, yearly published on ADI Design Index of the triennium preceding the award (2005/2006/2007) gave Compasso d´Oro, to only 10 works and signalled 75, among which Ciussai. Jury chose to be very selective to give further value to the awards.
Awarded and signalled named by international Jury enters then Historical Collection of the Compasso d´oro Award, national cultural patrimony.
Belonging to Design per l´abitare (design for living) category, Ciussai radiator fully satisfied all the judgement criteria it was submitted: from environmental impact to proper use of technologies, from formal innovation to functionality, passing through iconic and communicative valences.
In occasion of the XXI Award Edition, Turin 2008 World Design Capital intends to tell the inedited value of the Historical Collection of Compasso d´Oro, recently bound and protected as part of artistic Italian patrimony. The Collection, fed during the years by Award Editions and International Juries that always presided it, it´s an anthology in progress of Italian excellence of project and product. The Historical Collection of Italian Design and the XXI Compasso d´Oro Award are so two realities not untied but in continuous dialogue within themselves: the former is fed by the latter, in a progressive enriching process.
